Lukas Kaul
Lukas is a postdoctoral researcher at the High Performance Humanoid Technologies Lab of the Institute for Anthropomatics and Robotics. His research interests include the design and integration of complex mechatronic systems (Mechano-Informatics) as well as the development of new human-inspired control approaches for stabilizing bipedal humanoid robots. He received his Dr.-Ing. degree for his thesis "Human-Inspired Balanacing and Push Recvoery for Humanoid Robots" in 2019.
Lukas received his Master's degrees in Mechanical Engineering from KIT in 2014, focusing his studies on mechatronics and robotic systems. He spent one semester abroad at the Shanghai Jiao Tong University in China (2010/11), and completed his Master's thesis at the Autonomous Systems Laboratory of the Commonwealth Scientific and Industrial Research Organization (CSIRO) in Brisbane, Australia (2013/14).
